When you join the Navy, you sign up to live in very close quarters on a ship for up to six months at a time with mostly other young men in very close quarters. It takes a lot of dedication and time and effort. You must be in good sound shape both physically and mentally. Sometimes you’ll be deep under deck with almost no room with your fellow sailors in hot sweaty conditions and you’ll be so sweaty and hot.
